Revita Rehab specializes in rehabilitative physical therapy to relieve lower back pain, treat shoulder pain, and eliminate neck pain and chronic headaches.
Relieving Lower Back Pain
Lower back pain is a common problem with limited treatment choices – either pain medication or conventional back surgery. Revita rehabilitative physical therapy offers one more option, especially effective for people who suffer from chronic lower back pain associated with radiculitis and radiculopathy, herniated disks, sciatica and other conditions. The vibration element within our treatment protocol improves circulation and lymphatic return, while reducing swelling and muscle guarding. The unweighting a patient will experience during treatment is similar to being underwater as the affects of gravity are lessened, greatly reducing the typical pain response. We can then safely improve functionality, posture, gait, and balance, all while strengthening the body in proper alignment for the establishment of correct muscle memory. Correcting muscle memory and strengthening the muscles provides the “glue” to our process which allows the patient to retain the effects of the treatment long after they’ve finished their program.
Treating Shoulder Pain
We have had great success in treating a variety of shoulder issues and injuries including pain from dislocations and rotator cuff injuries. The pneumatically driven shoulder attachment for our patented Vibro-Trac Table allows the clinician to work on all the muscles of the shoulder girdle and neck area, while the arm is in gentle traction and moved throughout a full range of motion. This proprietary equipment and approach allows the clinician the benefit of two free hands for more complete trigger point and scar tissue work.
Eliminating Neck Pain and Chronic Headaches
Revita rehabilitative physical therapy is a wonderful option for those with chronic, unresolved headaches and neck pain. Often, at the source of these headaches are structural deviations due from underlying postural issues. As our bodies try to adapt to the misaligned posture, muscles are pulled and tightened causing a variety of neck and shoulder pains, as well as headaches. Therefore, the Revita headache protocol is very similar to the shoulder treatment, with the addition of greater focus on the muscles and alignment of the neck. Muscle-specific strengthening is done along the spine on the unweighted chair to greatly improve a patient’s posture and lean.
